Above all an impeccable educationist who has been in the field of education for over 30yrs in various capacities. She has been one of the most influential personalities in the city of destiny – Rajahmundry.
Smt. Nagaratnam garu stared her saga of successful journey with humble steps as a social teacher in 1981 and since 1986 had been Head Mistress in AMG India International Institutes in Rajahmundry. She founded the prestigious Aksharasri Vidyniketan – Now, Aksharasri Smart School in the year 2002 which has ever since been pivotal in shaping the destiny of many a young life to the best of their potential.
Aksharasri has risen to the summit of success in a short period of time, and today it stands as a shining example of - discipline, dedication, and perfection – true to its founding ideals and slogan.
Many honours and recognitions were bestowed on her in her honour. She has received numerous honours and medals. Dr. Krishnakanth, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh, gave her the best teacher award, and Hon'ble Ex. Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandra Babu Naidu gave her the state best teacher award. Sri D. Pallam Raju, Hon'ble Minister of State for Defence, also presented her with the best school award. She has received numerous awards from non-governmental organisations and other organisations, like the Rotary Club and the Lions Club, to name a few. When she met Mother Teresa in person, she constantly claims that she was greatly inspired by her.
